Position : Weekend Camp Program Staff Branch : YMCA Storer Camps Position Type: Part-time ( mostly weekends but may require some weekdays during winter camps and or spring break camps) Salary: $100 per day worked Be a difference maker, with the YMCA Storer Camps, the overnight camp of the YMCA of Greater Toledo. YMCA Storer Camps is located near Jackson, MI on 1200 acres surrounding Stony Lake. General Function: To provide leadership and assistance to all programs and guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Implement and supervise recreational activities, special events and evening programs Assist with evening programs and activities as specified by weekly schedule needs Set up, maintain, and take down program areas and meeting spaces Assist with guest supervision at waterfront activities Assist in dining hall for guest meals Deliver water and snacks to groups as needed Prepare center for group arrival Clean facilities and program areas after each group departs Provide support and be a role model to all guest and staff Communicate daily with SPGR Program Director Interpret and enforce safety and health regulations Follow all camp policies, rules and regulations Any other duties that enhance the camp programs and experiences of campers. Know How: Must be at least 18 years of age and have graduated from high school or have the equivalent experience. Must have a sincere desire to work children, adults and people of ages and variances. Must have current CPR and First Aid. Lifeguard certification is encouraged. Effects on End Result: The staff member is instrumental in ensuring that the image of the Specialty Programs and Group Retreats are positively communicated to campers, parents of campers, guests, staff alumni and the general public. End results will include: Programs are implemented in a fun and safe manner. The YMCA mission and character values are implemented throughout all programs.
