South Central Transit is now accepting applications for a FULL-TIME DISPATCHER/SCHEDULER for our Breese location. At SCT , our dispatchers/schedulers are a reflection of our organization's commitment to safety and customer service. This position is Monday-Friday with a varying shift schedule. All dispatchers/schedulers are required to complete a pre-employment drug screen as well as participate in drug and alcohol testing program. SCT is a drug free workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer. Qualifications High School diploma/GED/other related experience Computer knowledge and keyboarding skills of 40 wpm Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multi-task Good judgement and decision making Responsibilities Responsible for supporting daily and future transportation operations Relaying information in a fast-paced environment Overseeing the routes and ensuring on-time performance Assigning drivers and buses to routes Monitoring drivers' locations and trips performed Handling heavy incoming call volume Benefits Starting wage of $17 per hour with a 50 cent increase upon completion of a 90 day probationary period 100% company paid health, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation, sick time, and personal time 13 paid holidays IMRF retirement Rewarding environment with advancement opportunities Do you take pride in your work?
