Description:
Direct Report Shooting Sports Asst. Director Employee Profile and Desired Traits ● High level emotional intelligence ● Active in team dynamics, conflict prevention /resolution , and identifying customer needs ● Cheerful attitude and servant leadership disposition ● Dedicated customer service and people oriented ● Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn ● Ability to interact with men and women of all ages and maturity levels of staff/customers Principle Responsibilities ● Ensures range safety at all times ● Instructs and coaches participants in archery and firearms shooting ● Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership ● Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook Qualifications & Training ● 18 years or older ● Required: USA Archery Level 1 Instructor (training provided) ● NRA Certified Instructor (Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, RSO) (training provided) ● Preferred: Experience in competitive shooting or hunting, any discipline ● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination ● Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America Performance Results ● Completes contract period with 2-4 positive experiences ● Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants ● Contribute at least one improvement to Shooting Sports program operations ● Hit at least one sporting arrows disk during the season Physical Requirements ● Multiple hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 50-70 lbs. ● Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements HERE Uniform Summit staff uniform Housing 10x12' Platform Tent; Foxtrot Base Camp Expected Weekly Hours 45 - 55
