Coverage Needed Jun 1, 2024 - ongoing Estimated shifts/month: 28 (across 3 facilities) Schedule 6a - 3p 8a - 5p 1p - 10p 4p - 1a Cover 3 sites Clinical Details 100% inpatient Average number of patients per physician per day: 15-18 Average patients per hour: 2 Hospitalist admits patients with the specialist as a consult Number of ER rooms: 40 Number of hospital beds: 298 Annual volume: 45,000 Trauma level 2 Requirements Board Certified / Board Eligible Not accepting Board Certified IM will accept ABFM boards If ABEM certified only NIHSS is required If FM boarded then ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and BLS are required also DEA Active IN License or IMLC Minimum # years experience: 2 Can cover 5-7 day stretches at a time - Preferred Clear background with no malpractice - Preferred Must be able to do the following procedures with supporting logs: Breast Cyst Aspiration, Central Venous pressure catheterization, Endotracheal intubation (20 cases for past 24 months), Lumbar Puncture, Nasal Hemostatic Packing-Placement of Anterior & Posterior, Paracentesis, Suprapubic Bladder Aspiration, Thoracentesis & moderate sedation Support Staff 2-3 physicians working during most hours Single APP support 24/7 EMR Epic
