About the Role FuelEd is seeking an entrepreneurial leader to serve as a Business Development Partner, responsible for the commercial growth within K-12 school districts in a specific geographic area aligned with our GTM strategy (ie. West or Midwest). The Business Development Partner will work to ensure a proactive, consistent, and collaborative business development approach beginning at the prospects lead development life cycle stage through closed/won deals, contract signing, and will maintain key relationships with the client base post-program delivery. Your responsibilities will include a wide range of duties such as prospecting, developing, nurturing, and closing the ideal customers for FuelEd. You will develop creative ways to drive prospect engagement, communicate and enhance FuelEd’s value propositions. You will regularly manage your CRM (HubSpot) by ensuring strong data entry in order to make data-driven decisions and report progress to goal to your team lead. You will also collaborate with the marketing team to ensure proactive business development is aligned with the strategic plan. You will play a major role in developing the right association and partner organization relationships that enhance and support FuelEd’s mission and strategic business plan. Location : FuelEd Partners can work fully remote anywhere within the USA. The Responsibilities: The Business Development Manager will participate in the sales function for our small but growing team, which will include: FuelEd Organizational Responsibilities Present and represent FuelEd’s mission, values, and services in all sales interactions. Drive the consistent use of project management (Asana) and CRM (HubSpot) tools for exceptional follow-up and prospect nurturing. Engage in weekly progress meetings with leadership and provide regular updates. Work strategically with internal teams to convert inbound demand and develop outbound strategies across the education market. Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events. Business Development/Sales Responsibilities Sales Operations and Strategy: Achieve organizational sales objectives for all commercially contracted revenue generating activity. Assist in assessing and improving current sales processes, methodologies, infrastructure, and metrics. Collaborate in managing the sales pipeline, accurately forecasting revenue. Develop and maintain a multi-year sales pipeline, focusing on strategic prospects such as charter organizations, urban school districts, and targeted states. Relationship Building and Proposal Management Create proposals, quotes, and negotiate agreements for FuelEd services. Ensure smooth transitions of all contracted partnerships to FuelEd program operations and finance teams. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key buyers, groups, or associations to expand program reach and revenue. Design and execute compelling pitch presentations and proposals. ​​​​​​​ Our Ideal Candidate has… Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the K-12 education or similar market, with a minimum of 8 years of work experience. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Passion for FuelEd's mission. High self-awareness, emotional intelligence, interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal communication skills. Consultative, solution-based selling approach. Strong understanding of the industry and CRM systems. Resourceful style with the ability to be flexible, collaborate effectively, take initiative, and manage and prioritize tasks. Detail-oriented, conscientious, and dependable with exceptional time management, planning, and organizational skills. Experience working with and supporting underrepresented populations, and commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion goals is a plus. Note: Equivalent lived experiences and exposures can substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements. Salary & Benefits The salary range for this position is $80,000-105,000, a nd will be determined based on prior experience and qualifications.
