Our Marine Vessel Security Guards are offered employment in a dynamic role in one of the most unique work environments that BC has to offer. This customer-facing role has the crucial responsibility of making our passengers feel safe and secure as they travel from coast to coast. Whether you are wanting to move into a supervisory role or begin training to work with our K9 unit - the opportunities are endless. We are looking for Security Professionals to join our team in Langdale! What you would do: Ensure safety and security of the terminal and onboard vessels Act as a visible security deterrence Regular patrols - every 1 to 2 hours Communicate with members of the public to provide direction and/or service Unlock/lock up checks and related security procedures Monitor and control video surveillance systems Radio Check-ins and report writing Coordinate and liaise with police or emergency personnel when required Flag any breach of security to account management Verify all vehicles entering are authorized and hold a valid authorization to access Adhere to Securiguard's core Values, Vision, mission What you bring: Valid BC Security License or ability to obtain OFA1 certification (Preferred) Pride in delivering outstanding customer service Excellent communication skills Comfort with radio communication Ability to write reports on job-related activities Comfort working independently and in varying weather conditions Physically capable of standing and walking for a duration of 8 hours Employee Perks We Offer: Award winning corporate culture Paid training and uniforms Flexible schedules & work-life balance Extended health and dental benefits Employee assistance program through TELUS My Health Telemedical access to doctors, therapists, and dietitians.
