Practice Area: Immigration - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join their team. Reporting to the Managing Immigration Attorney, the candidate will manage a caseload, provide legal counsel, represent clients in immigration proceedings, and collaborate with the Immigration Team. Duties:Manage a caseload, including client interaction and collaboration with the Immigration TeamExplain immigration concepts and provide strategic solutionsRepresent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration AppealsVisit and conduct intakes with detained individuals at centersPrepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitionsReview immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustmentsCollaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration lawConduct strategic immigration consultations and determine necessary strategies with potential clientsDevelop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimonyProvide legal analysis to determine potential case benefitsPrepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration casesCollaborate effectively with associates and legal assistantsRecord of moving legal cases forward and managing a caseload Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolBar admission in California3-5 years of Immigration Law experienceBilingual (Spanish) preferredExceptional interpersonal skillsExperience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applicationsExperience with Case Management Software preferred Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and research abilitiesAbility to work independently and within a teamProficiency in legal software and case management systems Benefits:The firm offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, a great compensation package including a 401(k) plan, catered lunches, complimentary parking, paid time off, and more.
