As we gear up to open our doors on January 11, 2025, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare in our community.Our expansion, spanning 165,000 square feet, will introduce a state-of-the-art patient tower to our Round Rock hospital, tailored to accommodate the evolving needs of our rapidly growing population. Among its highlights, the tower will house an innovative 11-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, alongside expanded capacities for crucial departments such as med/surg and labor and delivery.Anticipate a host of enhancements, including:* Additional operating rooms, cath labs, and procedural areas.* Expansions and upgrades to communal spaces.* Implementation of advanced equipment across various departments.* Shell space earmarked for future growth, including the expansion of our Emergency Department and operating suites.As we embark on this transformative journey, we invite you to seize this unparalleled opportunity to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery in our community. JOB SUMMARY The Physical Therapist 1 provides care to patients through evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, patient education and discharge planning to maximize the patient's functional level. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals. Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting. Communicates effectively with patients and families, departmental coworkers and members of the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family and staff. Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers. Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice. Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines. Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals. KEY SUCCESS FACTORS Must possess problem solving skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Must possess good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patient's family members and facility staff. Exhibits exceptional face-to-face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assures delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians and coworkers. Possesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment. High attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment.
