Position Overview Our asphalt plant laborer will perform a wide range of generalduties at an asphalt plant including but not limited to: shoveling,moving materials,and maintain good housekeeping while adhering to allsafety regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies, rules andregulations of OSHA/MSHA and Pennsy Supply, Inc.:Determines need for fuel, coolants, lubricants, ignition aids, and adds as needed; inspects, lubricates, and services truck and reports condition of vehicle to Supervisor:Preparedness to learn dozer, excavator, plant loader, pit loader and pit hauler and any other mobile equipment associated to the quarry operation:Sustains high degree of care and attention required to prevent injury to others in highly congested areas:Maintains correct stockpiling techniques to ensure material does not segregate:Responsible to stockpile proper product on correct stockpiles:Assist the plant operator when needed.:Remove dust from the dust silo.:Clean materials under conveyors and plant areas.:Performsgeneral laboring duties when necessary.:Other duties as assigned. Requirements :Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check. :Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations. Education/Experience :High school Diploma or GED equivalent.:Previous experience working in or around an asphalt plant helpful but not required.
