We continually look for ways to improve processes and performance while extracting cost by focusing on the areas of advanced composites, additive manufacturing and high-temperature structures.Who You AreIf you are someone who enjoys guiding others to success, this opportunity will invite you to lead and inspire.* Visionary, innovative, and strategic. * Enjoy Leading and developing your team to success. * Able to listen to others, use creative problem-solving, and arrive at an outcome that satisfies everyone.What You Will Be DoingThis manager position will require leading a team of Tool Engineers located in Palmdale, CA that develops plans and designs in support of Production Stand Up for Tooling for classified programs.This position will lead their team by providing managerial oversight and accountability for the following tasks:* Work with other organizations to develop requirements and organizational execution metrics that will be briefed to senior leadership.* Lead the organizational goals and support the line of business customers. * Develop conceptual models, perform tool design reviews, and ensure tooling conforms to requirements by being responsible for the tooling solution through fabrication of the tooling.* Identify organizational/operational gaps and reach across the company resource base to secure solutions.* Provide leadership and guidance to the Tooling Integration Team.* Oversee development of and manage multiple tool schedules and budgets from creation to completion. * Provide oversight and coordination of all PE tools through the tooling lifecycle and continually improve Enterprise tooling processes.Additional responsibilities include: - Provide vision and guidance to a diverse set of teams, leading each to consistently deliver value on time and under cost. - Implement the business methodology, processes, and tempo which drives each of the organizations to project completion. - Provide a high level of technical engagement and aircraft assembly/fabrication knowledge. - Actively engage within the design and execution process.What's In It For YouOur employees play an active role in strengthening the quality of life where we live and work by volunteering more than 850,000 hours annually. Basic Qualifications: * Previous experience leading teams and/or management experience.* Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Corrective Action, Tooling and/or Assembly Operations experience.* Knowledge of the Tool engineering processes.* Project Management and Decision Making experience utilizing business and financial acumen.* Active Secret Clearance required to apply Desired Skills: * Experience with proposals and program startup.* Knowledge and experience in programs that successfully demonstrate a digital thread.* Demonstrated ability to utilize Culture of Accountability (COA) principles and create a positive team environment.* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate the need for change and motivate teams to keep commitments and exceed goals.* Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership and customers.* Knowledge of LM Aero Capital and Tooling design, acquisition, and planning processes and systems.* Prior experience planning and executing a production operations stand up.* Knowledge of tooling, planning, and manufacturing methods.* Knowledge and experience performing and managing producibility and affordability improvements. * Experience working/leading within LM Aero Earned Value and Cost Accounting systems.* Demonstrated ability to form partnerships across organizations and/or business units to improve execution and performance.* Special Program Access Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $95,900 - $183,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.This position is incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $110,300 - $207,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
