We accomplish this through designing and building molds to meet customer specifications and the creation of custom machinery to process customer parts. Our processes include compression molding, transfer molding, injection molding, automated inspection, leak testing, cryogenic deflashing, and myriad other processes. Our customer base is made up of huge conglomerates as well as small private companies. The consistent requirement of all of those customers is a well-made quality part.Da/Pro is seeking a person to fulfill a key role on our team as an Engineering Manager in order to further our capabilities in meeting our customer’s needs. This role directs engineering for the company. The priorities for this position include strategic planning, product design evaluation, aiding in quality assurance and problem resolution. The Engineering Manager must collaborate with Account Managers and their customers to evaluate product design to meet company objectives and develop systems and controls to ensure compliance with quality standards.RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate mold quoting and support equipment quoting as well as provide insight on process requirements for the quotation of new parts. Provide process suggestions to consider in the quoting process that will aid in the reduction of cost. Coordinate and supervise troubleshooting of process and equipment issues. Supervise Engineering department in activities related to contract fulfillment, vendor management, part quoting, process generation, tool production, troubleshooting, documentation, HR, equipment construction, equipment purchase, PM suggestions, safety considerations et al. Provide guidance and suggestions for process control guidelines. Work with Quality Managers in the optimization of procedures in support of the above. QUALIFICATIONS: 8 to 10 years of previous experience Proven ability to communicate professionally and clearly in various formats such as via email, over the phone and on paper Must be familiar with ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 requirements. Should be familiar with FDA GMP procedures Use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience as a mechanical or process engineer or related field Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
