Look no further, Thompson:Arthur Paving and Construction has the perfect career opportunity waiting for you Job Description Summary stylemargin:top:0.0in typedisc:: Crew member essential to the application of asphalt/tack on highway/roadways/parking lots/driveways. Requirements stylemargin:top:0.0in typedisc:: Operate asphalt distributor truck. : Sets spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi:automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt. : Physical ability to operate distributor and to perform manual labor as needed, such as shoveling or raking, under extreme temperatures and for extended hours of time. Normal shift is 8:12 hours. : Ability to follow verbal instruction via crew foreman to assist in other positions if needed. : Ability liquid from distributor to designated area with attention to detail and emphasis on craftsmanship. : Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completion. : Ability to follow traffic control instructions and practice safety standards per company policy. : May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment. : May perform other related duties such as shoveling, setting string line, and adding or removing screed extensions. : Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal efficiency level. : Attitude/Cooperation: Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co:workers, customers, public. : Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required. Out of town/county/state work may be required. : Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition. : Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completion. : Must pass drug test and criminal background check. Education/Experience stylemargin:top:0.0in typedisc:: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. : Commercial Drivers License with hazmat endorsements required.
