Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Power and Distribution Sub-System Engineer . This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You'll Get To Do NG Space Systems has an opening for a Power and Distribution Sub-System Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The individual in this role will serve as the point of contact for the battery and power distribution components on the Aerospace Vehicle. The scope spans mapping of requirements to test events and analyses, verification modeling, and production modeling, plus coordination with parts, materials, and processes to ensure the successful integration of material into the power and distribution system. The engineer will manage the verification process of the system requirements. This position reports directly to the Power & Distribution Lead. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Job Qualifications You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related field of study from an accredited university and 5 years of relevant experience, 3 years with a Masters, or 0 years with a PhD Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Secret clearance with an in-scope investigation date within the last 6 years Must be eligible to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs Experience identifying requirements for an electrical subsystem or battery Experience with DOORS requirements management tool Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) preferably Cameo Experience designing and testing to compliance standards such as SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-461 These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation Experience working cooperatively with professionals representing multiple engineering and non-engineering disciplines Experience preparing for and participating in design reviews Experience developing and/or performing verification and/or test plans and procedures Earned Value and/or Cost Account Management (CAM) experience Aircraft, missile, spacecraft, or battery production experience Familiarity with aerospace standards for electrical power and environmental compliance Experience working in an Agile team #Sentinelelectrical Salary Range: $92,600 - $139,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
