Date Posted: 09/01/2023 Closing Date: 10/15/2023 , 11:59PM ET Req ID: 33702 Job Category: Faculty - Clinical Faculty/Division: Temerty Faculty of Medicine Department: Dept of Medicine Hospital Affiliation: University Health Network (UHN) & Sinai Health System (SHS) Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: The Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University Health Network (UHN)/Sinai Health System (SHS) is seeking to recruit a Clinician-Teacher or Clinician in Quality Improvement with expertise in teaching and endocrinology of pregnancy and general endocrinology, for a permanent position, based at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. Advanced training in health profession's education or quality improvement is preferred. The successful candidate will play a key role in the inpatient and outpatient management of pregnant people with endocrine disorders, particularly diabetes mellitus. They will participate in Endocrinology of Pregnancy ambulatory clinics and will help develop preconception endocrinology management and postpartum gestational diabetes care clinics. They will provide exemplary teaching for trainees rotating through the service from Endocrinology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Obstetrical Medicine and General Internal Medicine. The successful applicant must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment with minimum rank of Lecturer/Assistant Professor. Effective start date is between January 1, 2024 and July 1, 2024, or a mutually agreeable date. The combined division of Endocrinology at UHN/Mount Sinai Hospital (MSH) consists of 24 full-time members and an additional 18 affiliate members located across all UHN and MSH sites, with active clinical and research programs across the full breadth of endocrinology and metabolism.
