Key Accountabilities* Schedule and supervise maintenance work including assignment to applicable staff, to achieve the most efficient utilization of workers and equipment* Supervise the Greenskeeper positions and perform duties when necessary, as well as fill in for Golf Course Superintendent in their absence* Assist in planning and supervising of greens, tees and fairways, and layout of all construction on the course.* Report any activities or problems that occur on the course to the Superintendent, and participate in implementing corrective actions as necessary* Assist in administrative tasks including but not limited to: adhering to department budget; preparing maintenance reports; hire, train, and evaluate the work of the Greens department staff; Maintain payroll, staff and department records General Requirements* Possession of a valid California driver’s license* CA Qualified Applicator Certification* Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience* Minimum 2 years work-related experience and/or training* Thorough knowledge of construction and maintenance of golf greens, tees, fairways, and various types of turf grasses used on the golf course.* Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Benefits We Offer: * * 10 vacation days per year* 5 sick days per year* 1 personal day per year* 9 holidays days per year* Complimentary employee meals* Complimentary parking* Complimentary dry cleaning of business attire* Discounted and complimentary room nights at The Peninsula Hotels* 25% restaurant discount* 40% discount on retail* Complimentary use of golf course* 80% company-paid medical, dental and vision coverage* Complimentary life insurance* Complimentary long-term disability* Retirement plan with 5% company match Salary: $78,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
