Practice Area: Environmental Law - Litigation - Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm is seeking a Mid-level Environmental Litigation Associate Attorney for their Los Angeles office. The Mid-level Environmental Litigation Associate Attorney will play a key role in the firm's environmental litigation practice, focusing on deep federal court experience across the United States. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials and top-notch legal research, analysis, and writing skills. Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm environment and/or judicial clerkship experience is preferred. Duties:Represent clients in complex environmental litigation matters, with a focus on CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act) and large Superfund sites.Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of pleadings, motions, and briefs.Provide strategic counsel to clients on environmental compliance and regulatory matters.Collaborate with partners and senior associates on all aspects of litigation, from case strategy to trial preparation.Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations. Requirements:3-5 years of experience in environmental litigation.Deep experience in federal court litigation across the United States.Focus on CERCLA and large Superfund sites.Excellent academic credentials.Demonstrated top-notch legal research, analysis, and writing skills.Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm environment and/or judicial clerkship preferred. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar. Skills:Strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations.Ability to manage complex litigation matters independently.Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in legal analysis and documentation.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
