An opportunity to join a lovely CIEEM registered consultancy, where you will feel like a name rather than a number, has arisen in the West Midlands countryside. You would be joining a Team of 9 highly skilled Ecologists. They have always invested heavily in their staff and encouraged them to learn a wide range of fauna and flora survey skills, acquire licenses to work with protected species and provide excellent written and verbal advice to their varied client portfolio. With as much focus on personal development as professional, there are opportunities to engage with leadership coaching, confidence and assertiveness, negotiation skills, emotional intelligence and resilience. You will be given a balance of autonomy and hands on guidance, depending on your working style and what is interesting to you. You would have involvement at every stage of the project & the opportunity to develop skills in areas such as BNG & designing ‘Ecological spines’. They have a variety of projects ranging from value driven work such as community hospitals, social housing & green space developments. Alongside this there are opportunities to work on Historic sites with ancient buildings, and translocation of specialist species such as Orchids and bees. Many of which are submitted to the CIEEM awards. There is no fixed ‘training budget’ for the year, so you can explore uncapped potential with both comprehensive internal and external workshops and trainings where you cover skills such as botanical workshops, protected species and BNG workshops, proofreading, aerial photograph interpretation. Alongside this there is a competitive salary, a relaxed dog-friendly office, above statutory pension, health care scheme, and an ecologist-designed TOIL policy (restricted nocturnal surveys and no weekend work). The office is based in Worcestershire, surrounded by nature and the countryside, and they operate a hybrid working policy. They are searching for Consultant or Senior.
