The Unit Based Educator (UBE) & Nurse Planner will plan, implement and evaluate activities involved in providing continuing education to hospital clinical staff and medical staff. The UBE will ensure that applicable trainings meet regulations required by Montana Nurses Association and will assist in the application for CNE accreditation when required.To assist education department in planning and implementing programs to assess and meet South Peninsula Hospital (SPH) clinical staff and medical staff educational needs. To function as a Nurse Planner in establishing continuing nursing education activities in collaboration with Primary Nurse Planner, and maintain instructor status for American Heart Association courses in Basic Life Support (BLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 18 months of hire. Requirements Active AK state RN license - Required(BSN) Bachelor's of Science - RequiredA minimum of two years general medical-surgical nursing experience required Education, Certificates- Active AK state RN license - Required(BSN) Bachelor's of Science - RequiredACLS - RequiredBLS - RequiredPALS - RequiredInstructor cards for BLS, PALS, and ACLS, required or must be obtained within 18 months of hireOne- or two-years’ experience. Willing to train. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Must have an interest in learning and education.
