We currently have a full-time opportunity for an Accountant to join our Finance team. This role can be based out of one our main offices: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON and Montreal, QC. Here’s where you’ll be focusing: Accurately prepare and post entries and account for transactions in the general ledger and fixed asset subledger. Prepare and review working papers that support account balances, investigate errors, and facilitate corrections Complete period-end close processes, controls, and procedures Reconcile the balance in fixed asset subledger to the GL. Review and update fixed asset schedules for financial statement note disclosure purposes Track project expenditure and ensure proper reclassification in accordance with IFRS and fixed asset policy (capital vs expense) Ensure compliance with CEO/CFO Certification.
