Job Description LS Technologies currently has openings for cost estimators/analyst s. These positions are part of a team of professionals supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Support encompasses all aspects of cost analysis for FAA acquisition programs. Responsibilities Develop and review life cycle cost estimates (LCCEs), range of alternatives, cost-benefit analysis, cost-risk analysis, and other business case documentation as needed. Conduct cost risk analyses and other cost and financial analyses, as required to assess advantages, disadvantages, and risks of alternative solutions and courses of action under consideration. Develop and review cost estimates based on program systems development life cycle. Validate that program cost estimates are reliable including assessing whether the estimates were developed in accordance with best practices. Understand and use best practices such as those in the GAO Cost Estimating and Assessment Guide. Conduct data analysis of large data sets and provide input into major briefs and acquisition documents. Report findings and recommendations to the government through working group meetings and formal presentations. Support organizational process improvement for cost analysis and estimating methods and guidelines. Requirements More than 5 years of cost estimating/analysis experience within the government; FAA preferred. Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office products. Proficiency with cost estimating and risk tools such as ACEIT, SEER-SEM, @RISK, and/or Crystal Ball. Proficiency with parametric software cost estimating tools such as SEER-SEM, COCOMO II, and/or Price-S/TruePlanning. Experience in applying the System Development Life Cycle and software estimation techniques to cost analyses. Certification such as Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst (PCEA) Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) is desired. Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, orEeconomics; Advanced Degree is desired.
