We are is seeking a full-time Software Engineer III to support contract work out of Charleston SC. ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED Responsibilities The Software Engineers III designs, develops, supports, and maintains the organization's infrastructure, to including the implementation and design of hardware and software. Research , plan, schedule, and execute upgrades, configuration changes, and new architecture modifications utilizing Amazon Web Services (GovCloud). Draw network & technical diagrams depicting system architecture, ports, and AWS cloud services. Recommend improvements to the Fusion cloud infrastructure architecture and supporting processes, policies, and procedures, to include writing portions of policy and procedure documentation. Configure software applications and services to run in containers utilizing Docker. Configure applications to authenticate utilizing existing Central Authentication Service (CAS) protocol system. Recommend improvements to the Fusion DevOps engineering processes, policies, and procedures, to include writing portions of policy and procedure documentation. Develop, implement, document, and test backup procedures and policies to support data retention, and disaster recovery. Experience Required: Software engineering includes the design, development, and documentation of software to support a specific government requirement The contractor shall develop and deliver software products designed in multiple programming languages to include the following software languages: Visual Basic, Visual Basic.Net (VB.NET), JSON for Visual Basic (VB-JSON), Visual Basic Scripting (VBScript), Install Shield, Structured Query Language (SQL), SQL Stored Procedures JAVA, C, C++, and C#, XML, PowerShell, Linux, RedHat and Python Demonstrated experience with Docker, container orchestration systems, and container paradigms and best practices DEVOPS Engineering and operations. (e.g. system monitoring and remediation, processes) Software development, source control, and continuous deployment. Systems lifecycle experience to include, but not limited to, systems and network management and monitoring, configuration management, software deployment, technical artifact generation The contractor shall have expertise in the installation, administration, and maintenance of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software applications. This includes participation in various technical working groups and Scrum meeting to represent technical subject matter expertise for solution development. Qualifications: Active Secret Security Clearance Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field Ten (10) years with Master's fourteen (14) years with Bachelor's Degree of IT professional experience Possess Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification. Skills: Excellent oral and written skills. Excellent critical thinking skills. Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
