Lead Technician

Description:
Position Lead Technician Reports directly to Manager of Operations Position Overview Lead field installation personnel in the successful completion of assigned projects for the meeting of goals and objectives as outlined in Pro-Tec's Vision Traction Organizer (VTO). Roles Be a champion of the Pro-Tec Experience through adherence to and development of methodology and installation standards Provide direction to installation technicians and installers for proper system installation as required Communicate effectively with clients and all other stakeholders involved in the project Provide onsite field supervision to all technicians and contract labor. Provide mentorship and field training to technicians and installers while driving team efficiencies Support the project team in addresses all technical details that come up during the course of project completion Responsibilities Perform the functions of Lead Technician while maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls project activities required for effective programming and installation of security projects. Ensure all system programming and end user training is done as outlined in the scope of work and meets Pro-Tec standards and end user requirements Ensures quality control standards are met by all technicians working on assigned project Coordinates with customer's IT department for all IP, switch port, and network provisions needed to support the completion of projects Review with the PM all assigned technician and installer timesheets on all project worked Maximizes ConnectWise to provide accurate record keeping, submitted on time and complete, including but not limited to: Closed loop on customer and project manager notifications. Project documentation, system device schedules, floor plans, and customer signoff sheets Turn in final set of field redlined changes of as-built drawings to Project Coordinator Ensuring all customer signoffs are complete i.e. camera field of views, door functionality tests, and end user training and turned in to the Project Coordinator Ensure Site Data file for company record is setup or updated after project completion. Requirements Excellent communications skills, outstanding written and verbal communication Effective, polished interaction with customer to gather information quickly; explain technical requirements to all parties involved in project completion; communicate next steps and status; and inspire confidence Demonstrated cross-team collaboration and critical thinking High attention to detail, able to problem solve logically and think critically High school education or equivalent, post-secondary training in technical field, system programing is required. Access control manufacture's certification training in at least one of the systems listed below. Multiple is preferred AMAG Lenel ProWatch DSX Feenics Video surveillance manufacture's certification training in at least one of the systems listed below. Multiple is preferred. Milestone Exacq Avigilon OpenEye Minimum of 5+ years related field technician experience in physical security. Strong computer skills, networking, and database experience is preferred. Working knowledge of Windows server operating system and MS SQL Strong interpersonal and presentation skills Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed Must have a valid driver's license Maintain DOT medical certification Completed and passed a BCA background check, including driving record check. Complete CJIS training
