The Warehouse Associate/DC Power Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse facility, performing DC Power projects in the warehouse area and working in the field when needed. Reporting Relationship: The Warehouse Associate/DC Power Technician reports to the Service Manager Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Attend and participate in safety training Adhere to all company and industry safety policies and procedures Adhere to applicable customer, industry, and manufacturer's maintenance/installation methods and standards Proper operation of basic tools and test equipment Proper operation of material handling equipment Supply and organize trucks with all equipment necessary to perform job functions Continually train and develop to advance responsibilities Develops strong line of communication between service manager and within all departments utilizing service Performs additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits Battery additions , removals and replacements Secondary DC Power additions, removals and replacements Run, test and terminate Alarms Installation of common wireless equipment such as Fuse Panels and other Power Equipment Addition or removal of common systems equipment and hardware Addition or removal of wiring connections on non-working equipment Lead verification and continuity testing Analysis of job specifications, drawings, and documentation Be able to perform in-process and final quality inspections Power transition work Day to day warehouse duties including general housekeeping and receiving equipment Complete and maintain certifications on equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Skills/Knowledge Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong organizational skills Basic electrical knowledge Knowledge of DC power equipment, specifically in telecommunications, switchgear and control and UPS industries Ability to work with a range of tools, from wrenches to multimeters Strong technical and spatial reasoning abilities Efficient in Microsoft Office software Possess troubleshooting skills and be able to effectively operate basic equipment Personal Attributes Demonstrates honesty and integrity in work and relationships Demonstrates servant leadership principles with internal and external customers Demonstrates innovation/creativity in work Possesses strong work ethic and takes ownership of both company and client goals/objectives Focused on understanding, meeting and exceeding customer expectations Focused on collaboration and teamwork for the mutual success of the company and its employees Demonstrates ability to take direction, communication, and supervision from Manager, Service Manager and upper levels of management Conforms to company policies and procedures and meets company goals and objectives; protects company assets and interests Excellent attendance record Travel Expectations Up to 10% based on HMC projects and needs Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Must have and be able to maintain a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per HM Cragg insurance carrier standard Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening Must be able to work flexible hours, days, and overtime, as needed Must maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) random drug and alcohol screening requirements Ability to maintain a valid driver's license Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening Ability to work at various heights Ability to lift items greater than 25lbs (and up to 150 lbs.) multiple times a day The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this work.
