Technica LLC is seeking to hire a Billing Manager. This position reports to the Controller and is capable of being 100% remote. Work space in Charleston, SC is available to local candidates. Technica is looking for an experienced Billing Manager to oversee monthly billing and cash collection. Must have full-cycle billing experience in Deltek CostPoint for cost reimbursable and fixed price projects. Must be able to complete project set-up tasking. Must have previous experience with reconciling and invoicing contract closeout billings. Must be able to troubleshoot issues in WAWF. ACRN billing experience is a plus. Primary Job Responsibilities: Oversee billing and contract closeout billing activities, as well as Accounts Receivable and Cash collection for a portfolio of projects Oversee monthly reconciliations of unbilled costs Generate monthly complex invoices (CP, FFP, and T&M) and perform all related accounts receivable activities. Create and maintain billing files to include base contract, contract modifications, revenue reconciliations and customer correspondence. Manage the submission of invoices to the Government/prime contractor via WAWF or other proprietary subcontractor portals Oversee and troubleshoot issues in WAWF as needed Assist in the set up new projects in CostPoint Support month-end and year-end closeout tasks related to project accounting, contract costs, and revenue Manage basic and complex billing issues Support contract closeout and final invoice reconciliations. Utilize ACRN billing functions within CostPoint Competencies: Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of WAWF / DFAS invoicing Proven ability to proactively manage files in pipeline demonstrating sense of urgency Self-starter able to manage self, be flexible, and adapt as needed in a production-oriented position Creative problem-solver with effective resolution ability and analytical skills Solid PC Skills in at minimum MS Excel, email, internet, and web-based applications Must be able to read and/or interpret numbers and letters correctly Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English Must work with numbers to calculate timeframe and evaluate costs and losses Must demonstrate organization and prioritization skills to manage time and meet deadlines Accomplish goals with little or no supervision, dependent on self to complete objectives and determine when escalation of issues is necessary Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or at least 7-10 years of relevant hands-on experience in government contract invoicing 3+ years of experience with CostPoint 7.0 or higher (Costpoint 8.0 or higher is a plus) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong time-management skills and a deadline oriented focus are desired Must have strong oral and written communications skills Must possess govt contract knowledge and govt billing exp. Employment and Physical Qualifications: Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen Must be a US citizen or provide proof of authorization to work Must be able to work in a stationary position (sitting/standing in front of a computer) for the majority of their work day If working remotely: Must be able to furnish reliable internet and phone connection
