TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate need for a Traveling Quality Inspector. (Must be available to travel out of state for extended periods of time. Travel expenses paid). M-F 7am to 3:30pm with Paid overtime Over all Purpose The Traveling Quality Inspector is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly. Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances. May Report to Site Manager Responsibilities (To include but not limited to the following) Client Relationship & Business Development Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria Operations Performs audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub assemblies Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment Other duties as assigned Organization & M anagement This position does not include supervisory responsibilities Technical Must be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies Must be able to read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub-assemblies In proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery Knowledge, skills, abilities Hard skills Values & attitudes Demonstrated knowledge of tools, practices, and industry quality standards Demonstrated expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint Understanding of database principles and knowledge of MS Access Global team spirit · Team player · Caring for people · Open-minded Excellence · Reactive · Resilient to pressure · Rigorous Customer focus · Client oriented · Reliable & trustworthy · Flexible Initiative · Autonomous · Innovative · Daring Work experience Overall recommendations Basic knowledge of materials and production processes Basic knowledge of quality control methods Education background Overall recommendations High School Diploma Required Job Posted by ApplicantPro
